Bride Associates is one of the only wedding consulting firms in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to offer an internship program. The wedding industry is extremely competitive and increasingly difficult to enter. The internship at Bride Associates is a one year program or can be for a semester if associated with your College or University for course credit. If you are pursing college credit we work with advisors from many accredited schools to give you the experience you will need after graduation. The internship positions are unpaid, but there is opportunity for commission and the ability to be hired as a full or part time coordinator.

We choose from over a hundred applicants to schedule interviews for these positions as they come available. Our internship program is difficult to enter due to the high volume of applicants, but the experience is invaluable. You will be involved in as many weddings and events throughout the year as your schedule allows. You will get to experience the excitement of pre-planning, assisting at each event, and the rewards of helping each bride.

If you are interested in learning how to build your own wedding consulting business or are anxious to enter wedding industry without becoming an intern, we invite you to join our apprenticeship position. In the apprenticeship program you will be involved in the planning, staging, event design and final production of two weddings. You will be able to choose the two event dates that work for you and attend as many meetings and appointments with brides upon their schedule. You will attend an initial consultation and a final planning meeting as well as help create the wedding day itineraries, emergency contact lists, vendor contact lists and detailed to do lists. As an apprentice you will also attend two rehearsals and be present for the day of coordination. Not only will you get hands on experience in the wedding consulting field you will also attend one on one training seminars that will show you how to run your business, how to get more brides, and learn the ends and outs of becoming a certified wedding consultant. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the apprenticeship and the use of approved photos and/or media may be included in your portfolio.
